The Parish of Sant Francesc de Sales, a masterpiece by Joan Martorell i Montells, stands in the Eixample as a Neo-Gothic landmark that foreshadows Catalan Modernism. Built between 1878 and 1885, its exposed brickwork engages in an architectural dialogue with the vision of a young Gaudí.
