The work of Helio Piñón and Albert Viaplana, Plaça dels Països Catalans is a manifesto of 80s deconstructivist architecture. Opposite Estació de Sants, this hard-edged plaza of concrete, marble, and copper proposed a new urban interaction, now a stage for passers-by and skate culture.
