The venue
The Residència Salesiana Martí Codolar, originally known as Granja Vella, traces its lineage to the 15th century, evolving from a rural farmhouse to a residential palace. In the 19th century, Lluís Martí Codolar's estate housed an exotic animal collection that foreshadowed Barcelona's current Zoo in 1892. Later, in 1946, the property was ceded to the Salesian congregation, opening its seminary in 1949. Today, this complex in Vall d'Hebron serves as a space for hospitality, training, and retreat, preserving an atmosphere of sobriety and historical memory. Its buildings reflect a history of transformation, from their French-inspired design to their current multifunctional purpose.
