The venue
Located at Plaça de l'Orgull 1, in the Marina de Port neighborhood, Sala Pepita Casanellas is a key cultural hub in the Sants-Montjuïc district. The venue sits on the footprint of the old Philips factory, an L-shaped building from the 1950s—one of Barcelona's few remaining examples of industrial architecture from that decade. Transformed in 2007, the center honors Maria Josepa Casanellas, a vital educator in the area's history. Today, it operates as a multi-purpose hall for cultural and social activities, part of the Marina Civic Centers network, working alongside Casa del Rellotge. It also hosts a Citizen Attention Office and social services.
