Historic layers embracing feminist action.
- el Barri GòticC Ripoll 25
The venue
In the heart of Barri Gòtic, Ripoll 25 reveals layers of time. Part of Ciutat Vella's fabric, this spot integrates remnants of the Roman aqueduct that fed Barcino, alongside medieval structures that once housed an inn and, possibly, the old university. Today, beneath these historical layers, TAMAIA Viure Sense Violència S.C.C.L. resides – a cooperative dedicated to eradicating gender-based violence. Set within the significant Ca la Dona space, the entity offers therapeutic support, prevention programs, and training, rooting feminist activism in a site of profound urban and historical meaning.
