The venue

In Vila de Gràcia, the Torre de l'Aigua stands as a functional testament to 19th-century Barcelona. Erected mid-19th century, this stuccoed cylindrical tower regulated water pressure, vital for the crops that then defined the district's agricultural landscape. Its design, overtly pragmatic, takes its only aesthetic license from the forged iron trident of Poseidon crowning it and the blind arches circling its base. An infrastructure landmark marking Gràcia's urban transition.
