The venue
Perched on Avinguda Tibidabo, the Torre del Doctor Andreu – or 'La Rotonda' as it's known – is an architectural icon in Sant Gervasi - la Bonanova. Initially conceived by Adolf Ruiz i Casamitjana in 1906 and later expanded by Enric Sagnier, this monument fuses Modernisme and Noucentisme, echoing French 'hôtels'. Its signature circular tower culminates in a unique mini-temple, its façades adorned with allegorical murals of the seasons. From a bourgeois residence to a luxury hotel, and briefly a consular HQ during the Civil War, its structure holds layers of urban history. Today, restored, it retains its stately presence in Barcelona's skyline, a testament to the era's urban ambition and Dr. Andreu's cultural patronage.
