Opened in 1955 as Residencia Sanitaria Francisco Franco, its origins are rooted in Montbau's rationalist urban planning, a neighborhood designed in the 1950s to absorb Barcelona's demographic growth. Recent projects aim to harmonize its architecture with the natural environment, transforming its structures into an eco-sustainable health park open to the city.
